The Nintendo Direct event held last February left us the announcement of “Star Wars: Hunters”, a completely free online third-person shooter game for Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS. At the time of the announcement it was also revealed that its launch would take place in this same 2021. However, it will not be like that.
Apparently, the company is going to make a small launch in 2021, but the massive launch will not take place until 2022. Specifically, what is said is that the game has been delayed from 2021 to 2022, but that a soft launch in the fourth quarter of 2021, that is to say, that at the end of this year it would reach a limited audience.
The reasons for this delay have not yet been revealed, but it would not be surprising if the pandemic had something to do with it, although we are also used to video games sometimes having delays of several months in order to improve certain aspects.
Not many details of the game were revealed at the time but it was said that it would be located between Episode VI and Episode VII of Star Wars. In it we can handle different species in the game, and there would also be “new Star Wars characters.”
